June 3, 2012 - The Media Center will be providing live coverage via-satellite in OAK HILL, W.Va. at ACE Adventure Resort.
Officials at ACE Adventure Resort are prepared for their attempt to break the currently held Guinness World Record™ for zip-lining this Sunday, June 3 at the southern West Virginia resort. Event organizers hope to send more than 150 zippers along one segment of the resort's mile-long zip-line course, which follows the edge of the New River Gorge, in less than an hour.
May 24, 2012 - The Media Center provided live news/media coverage via-satellite from West Virginia State University in Institute, WV for the introduction of their new President. Dr. Brian O. Hemphill. He was officially welcomed today as the 10th president of West Virginia State University by the institution’s Board of Governors, faculty, students, staff, alumni, and community leaders, during a press conference at Erickson Alumni Center. His appointment was approved by the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission at its May 18 meeting.

May 3, 2012 Ames Heights, WV – The Media Center provided live satellite news/media coverage out of Ames Heights, WV for the newest Adventures on the Gorge Park, TimberTrek's grand opening! TimberTrek is taking aerial adventures to new levels this summer. The new recreation system, designed to be fun for children as young as seven years of age, has five courses of varying difficulties. Set about 10 - 70 feet in the air, the courses are rated like ski slopes – from easy to difficult – and include challenging obstacles, bridges, swings and zip lines.
