Daymark knew that their story needed a company that would care for it and tell it the right way. The Media Center has been telling stories like this for a while now and we have gotten really good at it. We are here to help tell your story, because that’s what we do.

The Opus Chorale presents Requiem by Kim Andre Arnesen

The Opus Chorale of Charleston, West Virginia will be presenting the American premiere of Requiem by Norwegian composer Kim André Arnesen on April 12 at 3pm. The Requiem Mass is one of the oldest liturgies of the church with centuries old versions in existence. Arnesen uses traditional musical settings and text while in the third movement seamlessly weaving in the Emily Dickenson poem “If I Can Stop One Heart From Breaking”. Though out the 50 minute work Kim Arnesen’s passion for composing music that strengthens the soul is heard in a variety of rhythmic and musical techniques.

MVB Celebrated Grand Opening in Charleston

MVB Financial Corp., celebrated the grand opening of its newest financial center location in downtown Charleston, West Virginia, with a ribbon cutting ceremony and grand opening celebration Thursday, March 26, 2015. The ceremony marked the official grand opening of the new financial center, the first for MVB Bank in the Kanawha Valley and the first Class A office construction in downtown Charleston in two decades.

19th Annual YWCA Women of Achievement Awards Luncheon

On Friday, March 6th, 2015, from noon-1:30 p.m., the 19th annual YWCA Women of Achievement Awards luncheon took place at Embassy Suites in downtown Charleston, WV with a sold-out crowd of 500 attendees.

This year’s YWCA honorees were Sharon Flanery; Kitty Dooley; BrickStreet Empowerment Award winner, Amy Thomas; and Judy Wellington.

Humane Society of Raleigh County

The Humane Society of Raleigh County, Inc. is a non-profit organization, which has been serving people and pets since 1979. Its mission is to prevent animal abuse and neglect. Located in Beckley, West Virginia, the animal shelter staff provides adoption opportunities and public education. The shelter has transitioned from euthanizing 80 percent of the animals housed there to euthanizing none, just over two years ago. With this change in philosophy, the shelter’s operating costs have increased exponentially.

Starting back in August, WCHSTV.com and The Media Center teamed up to bring HD, broadcast quality High School football right to people's home via live web streaming. This was the FNFExtra Webgame of the Week, presented by First Bank of Charleston.

2014 U.S. Senate Debate

AARP West Virginia and the West Virginia Press Association (WVPA), in partnership with West Virginia Public Broadcasting and the MetroNews Radio Network, hosted the 2014 United States Senate Debate on Tuesday, October 7 between West Virginia candidates Secretary of State Natalie Tennant (D) and Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito (R) at the Clay Center for the Arts and Sciences of West Virginia in Charleston, WV.
